🌿 Intro Reflection: Laughing in the Face of Doom

The other night, I was doomscrolling while high — always a bold choice — when I stumbled across yet another headline about the world ending in 17 different ways. Plagues, floods, billionaires launching each other into orbit like Pokémon.

I laughed so hard I spilled my tea. Not because collapse is funny (though billionaires in space is comedy gold), but because I realized: my shadow loves when I panic. Fear is its favorite Netflix show. But when I laugh at it? When I mock the end of the world like it’s a bad B-movie? Suddenly, my shadow relaxes. It knows I’m not taking the bait.

Shadow Moral: Doom loses its grip when you stop playing the starring role in its tragedy.

🍄Normally, this section will be exclusive to Inner Circle members… but for our first 4 issues, you’re getting it free. After Issue #4, Ritual of the Week (and other premium goodies) will live behind the Inner Circle veil. If you love this part, consider upgrading when the time comes.🍄

🔮 Ritual of the Week: A Spell for Laughing in the Face of Doom

Ingredients:

  • A ridiculous hat (witch, jester, whatever makes you snort)

  • A candle (black, white, or rainbow — doom is color-blind)

  • A ridiculous piece of music (kazoo solo? circus tune? your choice)

Steps:

  1. Put on your silly hat. Light the candle. Declare:

“Tonight, I am the fool who refuses to bow to doom.”

  2. Play your ridiculous music. Dance like a gremlin with tax problems.

  3. While dancing, name the dooms that scare you most — climate collapse, loneliness, student loans. Laugh at each one until it sounds absurd.

  4. Blow out the candle, toss the hat on the floor, and take a bow.

Shadow Moral: Doom hates clowns. Be one.

🌑 Shadow Work Prompt

What’s the scariest “doom” story I tell myself — and what happens when I imagine laughing at it instead of fearing it?

Write it out. Then doodle mustaches on it.

🌌 Celestial Currents (Week of Oct 15, 2025)

🌖 The Moon is still waning gibbous, heading toward third quarter. This is the phase of reflection and gratitude.

Advice for you: This week, count your blessings like they’re runes scattered on the floor. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small — the good meal, the laugh with a friend, the orgasm that cleared your sinuses. Gratitude during the waning Moon strengthens your spirit and makes shadows less hungry.
